Apple’s place in the mobile industry is becoming even more meaningful now that it has become the world’s most profitable handset vendor, according to Strategy Analytics. The research firm estimates that in Q3, Apple’s operating profit totaled $1.6 billion, which was higher than Nokia’s operating profit of $1.1 billion.
